Persatuan Tadika Malaysia Pre-school Skills Training Course
Persatuan Tadika Malaysia, with the approval of the Ministry of Education has been conducting Preschool Skills Training Course since 1972 for preschool teachers during the school holidays (for registered members-membership expires on 31st Dec each year).

There are 7 steps: - offering - Child Psychology, Preschool Teacher Education, Preschool Administration and Management, National Preschool Curriculum Standards (KSPK), Language and Communication, Spiritual/Moral Education, Physical Development, Socio-emotional Development, Creativity & Aesthetics and Cognitive Development. Certificates of Attendance are awarded.

Monday 24/11/14 to Friday 28/11/14 - Steps 1,3 & 5 (5 days)
Saturday 29/11/14 to Wednesday 3/12/14 - Steps 2, 4 & 6 (5 days)
(It is compulsory to do 2 steps at a time)

Note To New Candidates:
Please note that you must attend our course in sequence, i.e. Steps 1 & 2 (Mon. 24/11/14 to Wed. 3/12/14) first and follow up during the next holidays with Steps 3 & 4 and later with Steps 5 & 6. (It is compulsory that you complete Steps 1 – 6 within 3 years. You will have to re-do ALL the Steps if you miss this time frame).

You will be required to do Step 7 if you want to do the Final examination, which leads to obtaining the Sijil Latihan Prasekolah Jenis A (with SPM) or Jenis B (without SPM).

This skills Training Course is being conducted at 2 venues : -

Lecture Hours:
8.30a.m. till 5.30p.m. daily including Saturday & Sunday.

Course Fee:   
1. RM320.00 for Steps 1 & 2 (inclusive of 5 reference books & a bag)
2. RM200.00 for Steps 3 & 4
3. RM200.00 for Steps 5 & 6
A penalty of RM20/- will be imposed AFTER THE CLOSING DATE - Saturday - 15/11/14
4. New applicants who wish to take up this course, it is compulsory that you become a member of our Association by paying a Membership fee of RM20/- per year. You can obtain Life membership at RM300/-. New members who have paid 2014 membership fee can omit this payment when submitting their application.
5. Payments can be made by Crossed Cheque/Bank Draft/Postal or Money Order and made payable to “PERSATUAN TADIKA MALAYSIA”.
6. It is compulsory that you include an extra .50 cents for bank commission if you issue an outstation cheque.
7. KINDLY TAKE NOTE: Course and accommodation fees once paid to Persatuan Tadika Malaysia is not Refundable or Transferable.
8. A Penalty of RM50/- will be imposed for postponement of EACH Step after the Closing Date (irrelevant of any reasons).

Accommodation will be at Best View Hotel, 2&4 Jln. SS2/61, Petaling Jaya. All outstation participants who have booked for Best View Hotel must check in on Sunday 23/11/14 between 2.00p.m. to 6.00p.m.

Twin (2 pax) Sharing air-con room @ RM440/- per person (23/11/14-3/12/14 - 11 nights)
Inclusive of Halal breakfast. Compulsory 11 nights. Check out - 4/12/14 before 12 noon

All meals are at your own expense. Participants can purchase meals at the shops and stalls around Brickfields.

Closing Date:
For Course & Accommodation –Saturday, 15/11/2014. A penalty fee of RM20/- will be imposed for registering after the closing date (i.e. 15/11/14 -Saturday after 12 noon).
Conditions For Award Of Sijil Latihan Prasekolah, Persatuan Tadika Malaysia, Jenis A With SPM Or Jenis B Without SPM.
After completion of Step 6, for those aspiring to posses the Sijil Latihan Prasekolah Jenis A or Jenis B , you will have to do Step 7 (5 days) which is an intensive skills training and preparation for the written and practical examination. A separate notice will be given or posted to you after Step 6. After Step 7 (at a later date) there will be a final examination, you are required to do written, oral & practical teaching and also submit your completed assignments.

Please submit the Application form together with the correct amount of payment before the closing date i.e. Saturday 15/11/14 by 12 noon to enable PTM to print the actual copies of lecture notes, prepare files, name tags, attendance sheets and make arrangement for accommodation.

Send the Application form with your payment OR come personally to PTM office from 9.00a.m. - 4p.m. (Monday – Friday) or 9.00a.m. – 11.30a.m.(Saturday, except 1st Saturdays) before 15/11/14 Saturday to:-

a) Enclose a self addressed 70 cents stamped 9x5 envelope (sampul surat beralamat sendiri berstem 70sen).
b) This course is open to Ordinary, Corporate and Life members only. Associate members are not eligible.
c) An adjoining letter informing you of the venue, your grouping and accommodation (if any) and further instructions will be sent to you with your payment receipt.
