The objectives of the MIEEIP were embodied in the eight (8) components or programmes below.

Component 6: Energy Efficient Technology Demonstration
Component 7: Local Energy Efficient Equipment Manufacturing Support
Component 8: Financial Institution Participation

The teams worked independently, yet in an integrated manner to ensure effective implementation of the MIEEIP goals and objectives and to create a sustainable and conducive environment for energy efficiency projects in Malaysia. All activities were carried out according to the project document and the budget allocated, while the National Steering Committee, which met every three months, charted the overall direction of the project.
