When
do we need to improve our energy-use efficiency?
This information can be obtained through
energy audits, which will also include recommendations for
energy and costs savings. The performance of a factory can
also be rated against established energy-use benchmarks
to assist the factory in evaluating its competitiveness.

MIEEIP provide grants for energy efficiency (EE) projects?
No. It only has allocations for activities
designated in the Project Document.
Is
it a legislativel requirement to be energy efficient?
No. There are no laws to compel industries
to be energy efficient. However proposed regulations under
the Energy Supply Act will introduce compel industries to
adopt energy management practices and standards in future.
Besides, market competition and rising fuel prices worldwide
will have an impact on industries who can adopt energy management
as a creative and useful approach to improve their productivity
and competitiveness.

and beneficiaries will carry out EE efforts independently

with their project proposals for financing. PTM is working
closely with the government to introduce an Energy Business
Fund, dedicated to EE projects.

an industry or ESCO, can I receive regular updates regarding
EE?

containing information of energy efficient technologies
and relevant case studies. You can download the newsletters
